Henry Talbot letters, 1823.

The collection consists of two letters from Henry Talbot to Benjamin Pierce of Scituate, RI, one dated 18 February 1823, and the other dated on 27 August. In the letters, Talbot speaks of his trip to Norwich, VT, in 1823 and records some general impressions of the Academy; however, his primary interest seems to be the female sex, his fellow textile workers back in Rhode Island and getting into "a damn high scrape" with his fellow cadets on a weekly basis.
